Many of our junior players have had a busy summer between playing for TIDE and representing BC as part of the BC Bears. These players have come through our youth program and we are so proud of their success.

Canadian selections

Thorsten Noble and Matthew Bennett were both selected for the U18 Canada camp for the team that went to the Netherlands. Unfortunately, both were injured and couldn’t play; however, they could still see action in the rep season.

Taine Clague has been selected for the U20 Canada camp.

How did these teams do?

The BC U16 boys Blue team won gold at the Western championships.

The BC U18 boys Blue team won gold and the Gold team took the bronze.

The BC U19 Men beat Ontario and Quebec to win gold.

The Tide U14 girls coaching team included JBAA coach Mark O'Regan and went undefeated to win the gold medal at the Provincial Regional Championships over the Canada Day weekend.

The Tide U18 girls coaching team included JBAA coach Corey Payne and fought hard against a tough field of teams, finishing in 5th place with a final victory over Vancouver.

The BC U18 girls won the Western Canada Championships over the BC Day weekend, featuring JBAA's Leila Williams.

Delaney Woods (currently playing at UBC) was selected to play for the BC U23 womens team against the Alberta Wolfpack, where the Bears secured victories in both matches of a two-game series.
