On November 11th, we pause and take time to thank those that have served, and continue to serve, in our armed forces and to remember those that lost their lives in service of our country, our beliefs, our democracy.

World War 2
Sadly we do not have a record of the names of the Bays who enlisted and served during WW2. We have the following quote from JBAA: The First 100 Years, written by Lew Madley:
H.L. Johnson’s statement at the regatta in 1941 indicates that some seventy percent of the club members were in the armed forces. A number of these young men lost their lives in that conflict and some were decorated for gallantry.
