Sadly we do not have a record of the names of the Bays who enlisted and served during WW2. We have the following quote from JBAA: The First 100 Years, written by Lew Madley:
H.L. Johnson’s statement at the regatta in 1941 indicates that some seventy percent of the club members were in the armed forces. A number of these young men lost their lives in that conflict and some were decorated for gallantry.
