Prems lose season opener to UBC

After two long years without a game in the BC premier League, the schedule finally resumed yesterday.

With a nod to the phrase ‘less is more’: Our rookie-laden JBAA prems team travelled to UBC to play the top rugby club in Canada and came away on the short end of a lopsided score. The good news is that we seemed to have come away bruised but with no serious injuries and nowhere to go but upwards.

Next week the Premiere team has a bye, the Reserves travel to Langley and our Women’s team has their first game in Comox.

On the 12th of February we will see all teams in action at HOME against the Vancouver Rowing Club. Plan on a full day at MacDonald Park, starting at 11:15 with the women, 12:45 for the first division men, and concluding at 2:30 with premier men.
