The JBAA executive has met to discuss what to do during the current pandemic.
The following was agreed...
Remaining 2019/20 Rugby Season is cancelled
JBAA will not participate in any Rugby this spring no matter what decision comes down from the BCRU. We would like players, coaches, supporters and staff to focus on staying healthy. Focus on the other areas of their lives. Reasons include, player welfare, players returning home, loss of income (3 missed home games) and a need to allocate remaining resources to their best use including preparation for the 2020-21 season.
Virtual Awards Banquet - Date TBA
The Annual Awards banquet will be held virtually this year. The Media group are charged to figure out the technical issues. We will do this with in the following month. Please join us once we know and share the details.
Visiting Players - Thank You!
We haven't had a chance to acknowledge players from afar who have helped the club out this season and have now returned home. We will do so at the Virtual Awards Banquet. But please know we hope where ever you are that you are in good health. And know you always have a home at JBAA.
Annual General Meeting - June 25th (TENTATIVELY)
The JBAA executive has set June 25th as the date for the AGM. If the pandemic means this cannot happen then the current executive will stay in place as caretakers.
Looking out for each other...
We urge you to look out for each other. Know someone in need? Know someone struggling? Share your concerns, let's all reach out.
Any player, or any club member for that matter, requiring assistance through this time please do not hesitate to contact club President, John de Goede.
